JUSTICE FOR ROBERT DARBY
Jason Moore
FOR around 25 years Jason Moore had been a successful professional gambler.
He specialised in cricket but also placed large bets on tennis, golf, snooker and horse racing.
Among his well-known peers and friends are Harry Findlay (who visited Moore in prison and still keeps in touch) and Tony Bloom, the current owner/chairman of Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion FC.
Moore has known Findlay since he was 21-years-old and they’ve spent many hours together while betting on major sporting events in all corners of the world, including Australia, India, UAE and South Africa.
Findlay, Bloom and Moore shared three-way ownership of a race horse called Garuth, which they collectively bought for £400,000.
Moore was fairly well known among the pro gambling community. He had an extensive network of international contacts spanning several continents, including cricket legend (now Lord) Ian Botham, from whom he sought occasional advice, and former snooker star, the late Willie Thorne.

Jason has strong family roots and is close to his parents and two younger sisters, Kirstie and Rhonda. They are all very supportive of him.
He also remains very close to his longtime partner, soulmate and confidante Sandra Dumont whom he met some 30 years ago.
These, and numerous close friends, have continued to loyally support him through his long and torturous ordeal.
Sentenced in December 2013, Jason has served eight years of a minimum 18-year life tariff, most of it spent in the toughest of prisons: Category-A HMP Full Sutton (York), as well as HMP Swaleside (Isle of Sheppey, Kent) and HMP Coldingley (Surrey).
In September 2012, Moore returned from Dubai and voluntarily walked into an Essex police station voluntarily to assist the MPS with their enquiries into Darby’s death.
So far he has lost nine years of freedom for a crime he didn't commit.
